Interactive


My interactive design will explore my characters character and emotions. Using the walk cycle I will insert multiple hot spots with rollovers to explore what triggers 1010's emotions. Through the use of animation and text the viewer will explore and understand details of 1010's character.

Walk Cycle

1010 is quite a bold and strong character therefor this should be reflected in its walk cycle. 1010s chest should stick out and its head held high. It is a 3m tall robot so it  looks quite heavy when it walks. Also because of his size 1010s legs look like they have suspension  as he stomps his foot to the ground.

Character

I'm thinking 1010 was put on the world to serve the aliens as a population control robot. To ensure any other life that has settled on the planet doesn't become a problem. He is equipped with weapons to eliminate any threats to their resources. He is also equipped with logic and emotion within his A.I so that it gives him better judgement. But these attributes can be overridden if the threat is extreme and devastating to the growth of the resource. The Aliens are the only exception. 1010 was able to override that component and think independently, it is possible for 1010 to identify a threat to his world without the influence of the aliens exception programing.

Willing Hero..

Who - 

Name = 1010

Willing Hero - 

The aliens have comeback to claim their replenished resources. The willing hero recognises that this means the destruction of his world and everything he knows and loves.

Why 1010 exists -

1010 was put there to serve the aliens but has somehow been able to override it's programing and be able to think for its self. Independent A.I. 1010 is able to protect its home planet but needs find out how.

Reason for being - 

To save the world and everything in it.

What 1010 wants to happen -

1010 wants to destroy or put an end to the Alien life coming to destroy everything he knows.


What 1010 needs to avoid -

1010 needs to avoid the aliens technology because they are more advanced than it, also so that they don't discover its Independent A.I.

Junk Yard City

Thinking junk yard for the game world. It has potential for multiple characters from eclectic robots to bugs, rats, etc. Have buildings built out of the junk or recycled material.
Thinking the eclectic robots look something like this.
City is made out of junk but is built on old and archaic buildings and structures. Think Aztec buildings with trees and foliage over running them, but this is utilised and part of the buildings structure. Think extreme eclectic architecture.
